A packed audience in the Library witnessed The Derby Book Factor as Ms Clarke and Mr Hurst battled it out in a closely contested event. The way the teachers portrayed the characters and powerfully read the stories captivated the audience. Mr Hurst read Little Red Riding Hood and was a ferocious wolf. Whilst Ms Clarke was a frightening Maleficent as she read Sleeping Beauty.
When the votes were cast Mr Hurst was the narrow winner but regardless of this, the memorable performances left an excellent impression on the pupils. Below are the staff judges and organiser, Librarian Ms Forkin.
