Thornton Cleveleys was the venue for the Year 11 Geography Field Trip. The students battled the elements on the beach as they measured the Groynes and observed the strength, effectiveness and the aesthetics of the other sea defences such as the old sea wall and the Spanish Steps. After successfully answering the questions on the beach they moved into the town to interview tourists and residents about the area. The students were confident, polite in their dealings with the public, and resilient in their efforts to complete their questionnaires.
They returned having done extremely valuable work for their GCSEs in testing conditions!
