Our always innovative Expressive Arts Team embraced multiple virtual opportunities to showcase careers in the Arts
As part of Bury LCEP Creative Careers week students at Key Stage 3 got the opportunity to take part in presentations offered through this superb initiative.
Students attended sessions entitled “Businesses in the community” and “The arts” and spoke to a range of professionals within the arts including authors, creative artists, company directors, educators, artists and performers. Students were able to learn about a plethora of creative careers and given the freedom to explore further by asking these professionals challenging questions.
Additonally, this year 7 students got the opportunity to participate in a live BBC webinar receiving a presentation from BBC professionals within Executives, apprenticeships and broadcast engineering.
GCSE music students in both years 10 and 11 were given the opportunity to talk to a professional musician in the form of Colour Sgt M Holt of the Welsh Guards who gave a thoroughly informative talk about life as a working musician.
What a fabulous array of experiences!
