Development with a focus on Ghana A study of less economically developed countries with a focus on the African country Ghana. Pupils gain an insight into poverty and why countries fail to develop as quickly as others. | Coasts A study of coastal physical features. This topic acts as an introduction to the topic studied at GCSE level. Pupils learn how and why coast lines change shape. | Tectonic Hazards A study of the causes and effects of earthquakes and volcanoes. This topic acts as an introduction to the hazards topic studied for GCSE. | Globalisation and Urbanisation Pupils study why most clothes are manufactured in less developed countries and the affect this has on multinational corporations and the employees manufacturing the good. | Water as a resource A physical study of rivers and where our water comes from.
